The Legend Plays On

Billy Sutton best known as Sutty was born in Deritford Birmingham on 28th May 1942, son of legendary bullring flower seller Mary Sutton and grandson of the notorious Austin Kelly, leader of the Peaky Blinders Bromford Bridge race track gang.
From selling flowers to American G.I’s at six months old with his mother Sutty had had an extraordinary life and it’s finally being brought to the big screen!

Falselight productions in association with Hershaim films and R.Noire Films presents The Legend Plays On, the true story of the most honoured and distinguished Europeon in Miami’s history.

Sutty’s tale of struggle and redemption spans over 70 years. From facing his demons drunk on a warehouse floor with the mice to braving the crime ridden streets of Miami, the film follows the trials and tribulations of Sutty from that fateful night in 1979 to the present day. This is the story of a grandson of a Peaky Blinder, an alcoholic, a family man, a hero of Birmingham and Miami Vice – how a rebel without a cause found his calling to become a legend.
